After watching a video of a snail luxuriating in a stream of water, all I could think was, “No more escargot for me.”

Escargot was one of the first French foods I ever had. Loved it! Still do, but it never occurred to me that snails could have feelings until I saw that video.

I never used to, but I am now, more and more. Been trying to eat more plant-based food. Except I need my eggs & cheese!

I love escargot and while the snail in the shower was cute, seeing that won’t stop me from eating escargot just as seeing calf won’t cause me to stop eating veal. I know. I’m a cold, heartless person.

Meat eaters aren’t cold & heartless. (I may change my mind if I ever finally make the switch to vegetarian.) Myself, I’m having increasing difficulty eating meat.

I’ve cut back a little on beef consumption, but no way I would stop eating meat cold turkey, so to speak.

That’s sort of where I am, too, but have never been a big beef eater.
